Small Pilgrim Places AGM: 21st October
The Peterborough Quaker’s Meeting House and garden are part of the Small Pilgrim Places Network and the AGM of the society will be held on the following date:
When: Saturday 21st October
Where: Quaker Meeting House, 21 Thorpe Road, PE3 6AB
What is a small pilgrim place you may ask? In the words of Thomas Merton, a small pilgrim place is:
A place where your mind can be idle, and forget its concerns, descend into silence, and worship in secret.
The annual meeting will also include a talk by Ali Green on “A Rosary of Sacred Spaces: Reflections on Short Pilgrimages to Small Pilgrim Places”.
The day is open to anyone interested in the idea of Small Pilgrim Places and will be particularly useful to anyone thinking of developing their own quiet space.
The event starts at 10.30am and the talk is scheduled for 11.40am. There will be a bring and share lunch at 12.45 p.m.
