Mental Health Awareness and Refresher Training
1) Half day course is an introductory three hour session to raise awareness of young people’s mental health.
Two opportunities to benefit from training and awareness around mental health issues.
It is designed to give:
An understanding of some of the common mental health issues affecting young people, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and psychosis
Skills to work more effectively with young people living with mental health issues (this will be applied to working with those through sport/physical activity)
Ways to support young people with a mental health issue and relate to their experiences

*This course is recommended to anyone currently working with young people in any capacity.
This course is delivered by Mental Health First Aid and you receive a certificate upon completing.
2) Refresh Your Current Knowledge around Mental Disorders
An essential update for counsellors, psychotherapist, and those involved with talking therapies in an ever-changing society. The day will be led by therapist Madison-Amy Webb MBACP, Acc. Voluntary Register, with 18 years clinical in Adult Mental Health Day Care, NHS Substance Misuse, Probation Service, adult education/ sixth form college.

Time: 10am - 4.30pm

Cost: £65 or two tickets for £100
The day will be of interest to counsellors / psychotherapists, those supporting clients. The day will be formed by a variety of learning approaches including: case studies, discussions, and experiential exercises.
