Peterborough Theological Society Meeting - 31st October
The Rt Revd Donald Allister (Bishop of Peterborough) will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Peterborough Theological Society on a topic of being a public Bishop.

The Rt Revd Donald Allister was installed as the 38th Bishop of Peterborough on 17 April 2010. Prior to Peterborough he served curacies at St George’s, Hyde (1976-79) and at St Nicholas, Sevenoaks (1979-1983). During his second curacy he was also part-time consultant editor of the Church of England Newspaper. He went on to become Vicar of Christ Church Birkenhead from 1983-89 (which involved part-time hospital chaplaincy) and Rector of St Mary’s Cheadle from 1989-2002. He was Rural Dean of Cheadle from 1999-2002. He served as Archdeacon of Chester from 2002-2010.
Following the talk their will be a time of discussion with the speaker ending by approx. 9.15pm
Peterborough Theological Society
The Peterborough Theological Society is an ecumenical society, open to anyone, which aims to provide a platform for theological debate which is challenging both to the lay person and to those with theological training.
Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm. There are no meetings in July, August or December.
The annual subscriptions are:
£20 for an individual member
or £30 for couples or families
or £10 for unwaged students.
Attendance at individual meetings is £4
