ALDI offering Christmas Eve Food Surplus

Supermarket chain ALDI are offering local charities and third sector organisations the opportunity to receive surplus food from their stores on the afternoon of Christmas Eve.

As ALDI stores will shut from 4pm on Christmas Eve until 27th December they will have a variety of good quality surplus food products that they wish to redistribute in support of less fortunate individuals and to prevent the food going to waste.

ALDI is unable to deliver the products so it would be essential that the receiving organisation is able to collect.   The levels of food available will vary store to store but it is estimated that between 20 - 30 crates will be expected from each store.

If your organisation is interested in being a recipient, then please contact Nicki Monaghan either by calling: 01827 711800 or writing FAO Nicki Monaghan, ALDI Stores Ltd, Holly Lane, Atherstone, CV9 2SQ and providing the following information:

  • Charity / Group Name
  • Main Contact Name
  • Main contact Number
  • City / Town
  • Store Postcode you wish to collect from
  • Type of products that you wish to collect.

Organisations will need to apply by 8th December
