TB Screening available in Peterborough 

TB Screening
TB is treatable - and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group are offering a screening programme for latent TB.

The eligibility criteria for testing is listed below:
 

  • Aged 16-35
  • Have settled in the UK in the last 5 years
  • Have lived in one of the countries, where TB cases are common such as;
    • Afghanistan
    • Cambodia
    • East Timor
    • India
    • Pakistan
    • Kenya
    • Nigeria
    • Zimbabwe 

Anyone eligible for the screening or someone who thinks they may have been at risk of contracting TB from others will be encouraged to attend their GP surgery for blood test.   The leaflet explains what will happen.  Currently the following practices are able to offer the test:

  • Parnwell Medical Centre (payment under Ailsworth)
  • Park Medical Centre
  • Thistlemoor Medical Centre
  • Thomas Walker Medical Centre

  • Westgate Medical Centre
  • Hodgson Medical Centre
  • New Queen Street Surgery
  • Old Fletton Medical Practice
  • Oundle (Northampton)
  • Thorney Medical Practice
  • Thorpe Road Surgery
  • Westwood Clinic
