CAP Job Club a great success!

We have just come to the end of our sixth and final course for 2018. Each course has been very different, and we have met some amazing people along the way.

Our last course had 12 people attend, and 5 of those have gained employment through the help and support we have given them. I also know they have been working with other organisation as well, so it is a massive team effort.

This has meant, we have had a 42% success rate on this course, which is amazing!

Over the six courses, we have helped 60 people gain skills to get back into the workplace, 21 have found employment, which means over the six courses, we have a 35% success rate. Each course has people across the ages, knowledge, experience and time out of work.

However, we have asked each course for feedback, and when asked if we had helped the attendees in any way during the course, helped them to start thinking about work, or have made a positive impact on their thoughts of going forward, 98% of those attending said the job club was unlike any other job club they had been too, in terms of support, encouragement, content and above all help to relieve the social isolation they had been feeling.

96% said their confidence had improved, and 97% said that we had helped them see themselves very differently in terms of their skill and value to employers.

Our next CAP Job club starts on Friday, February 1st at 10.15am for a Confidence Building Workshop, and the course itself starts a week later on Feb 8th, 15th - March 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th - April 5th

If you know of anyone who would like to benefit from this next course then please do pass them my details: Tel: 07847 354155 Tues - Thurs 9am-4pm.

As a team, we are looking forward to next year and developing the course further and helping support more people back into employment or helping them as individuals to overcome any barriers they may feel that is stopping them.

Wishing you a fantastic Christmas and New Year, and we look forward to a prosperous New Year.
