Twelfth Night at Peterborough Cathedral 13th - 15th Feb

Twelfth Night
Combining Peterborough Cathedral’s stunning Norman architecture, a sixties skiffle band and Shakespeare’s poetic language, the talented Gearbox Theatre Company brings you a colourful production of Shakespeare's much-loved comedy, Twelfth Night.

When:    Wednesday 13th  -  Friday 15th February 2019
Times:    7.30pm evening performances
1.30pm matinee performances (Thurs and Fri)
Where:   Peterborough Cathedral
Tickets:  From £11

It is the swinging sixties in Illyria where music really is ‘the Food of Love’. Cesario loves Orsino, Orsino loves Olivia, Olivia loves Cesario … but Cesario is really Viola, Sebastian’s twin sister … and is Sebastian really drowned? And then there is Malvolio … cruelly deceived into yellow stockings and crossed-garters by the riotous ‘rogues’ of this enchanting tale. There is love and marriage, laughter, mischief and cross-dressing.

A sixties skiffle band creates the original and somewhat nostalgic soundtrack. This is a show not to be missed.

VIP Valentine's Day Special

With love being the theme of the comedy, and Valentine’s Day on 14th February, the Cathedral is offering a 'Valentine's Day Special' ticket.  This combines afternoon tea for two with Prosecco, a pair of top price tickets for the evening performance and complimentary interval drinks, plus the option to renew your marriage vows at Evensong before the show and meet the cast during the interval.  It's the perfect way to treat a loved one!   Cost:  £85
